Sign Out / Early Pickup Information

• Students being picked up early from our Brookville campus MUST be signed out at the Health Office by a parent or guardian no later than 3:30pm.

• Students being picked up early from off-campus activities MUST be signed out with the individual program's Director at the off-campus site.

• Photo Identification is REQUIRED for signing out any student.

• Students may NOT be signed out by anyone other than a parent / legal guardian unless written permission is received in writing prior to 3:30pm.
You may submit written permission in one of three ways...

  • Fax... Our fax number is 516-626-0694
  • E-mail... The e-mail address for early sign outs is SummerPrograms@LuHi.org. Please include the header "SIGN OUT PERMISSION" in the Subject line.
  • Written Note... You may give your child a written note to give to his/her counselor in the morning, which will be delivered to the Health Office.

Note: If the note gets "lost" or "misplaced" before it can be given to the counselor, we can not grant permission for your child to be picked up by anyone other than a parent or guardian. Be sure to stress this to your camper!

• It is recomended that parents / guardians also submit a pick up note when they know they will have to pick their student's up early. Please follow the same guidelines for submission that are listed above.

What The Note Should Include:
To expedite the sign out process, please be sure to include the following things in your note...

  • Camper's name(s)
  • Program the camper(s) is/are enrolled in
  • Name of person who will be signing camper(s) out
  • Approximate time of sign out

When arriving on our Brookville campus to sign out / pick up your camper, you will be directed by Campus Safety to double park on the side of our gym. Proceed into the building through the breezeway located to the left of the gym. The Health Office / Sign Out Table is located at the end of the main hallway.

Important:
If you arrive after 3:30pm, you will be asked to wait at the bottom of the hill by Campus Safety so as not to disrupt the dismissal process of the entire camp. If this happens to you, please be patient; we will get you up the hill as soon as it is safe to do so. We understand your time is important, but nothing is more important than the safety of our campers.

Note: Do not send notes requesting that your student goes home on another student's bus. All students MUST take their assigned bus to and from camp. No Exceptions.
